Gsr Turbo????

Whats up i'm thinking of buying this guys GSR turbo setup, he has no clue what amount of boost was running on the engine, i think its stock GSR with a turbo. So what is the safest amount i can run on the motor? and also can i put a GSR head on a B16a Block??

I'm gonna have 2 setups! An All motor B16a and a GSR turbo, i wanna mix and match cuz the b16a has internals.

the amount of boost is based on how well the car is tuned

at stock compression for a GSR, I'd say 6 psi safely. If you drop compression then 10 psi can be done with a metal headgasket... about 350-400 hp at the crank if all is done right.

B18C head on B16A block is just dumb... B18C head doesn't flow as well as B16A head.

Poor man ITR is GSR block w/ B16A head and ITR or CTR cams.

hey i posted about that and somebody said it doesn't work as desired?? actually a lot of people said that.... something about the head will flow better but something else screws up and would actually decrease performance??

I would be hesitant to buy a turbo motor of a guy that has no idea what boost he was running.

IMO - this potentially means two thing.

1- He is lying - he knows exactly how much boost but doesn't want to tell you he pounded the crap out of it.

2 - He realy doesn't know, but then that worries me about the care the motor has seen being run by a "rook"

Just my opinion.

stay clear of this setup...probobly half burnt....unless he tells you ever little possible thing about internal combustion and tuning, shows a compression test and pulls the head for you stay way!! away from this....bad news

I was thinking of this setup and it woudl be pretty good... b18c block with b16 head..lower compression better intake mani better head..can't go wrong... good for boost cause you get lower compression from putting that head on...

ok If u guys only new how much I'm gonna pay for this complete setup! u would buy jut for the hell of it!! i wanna kno if the turbo headers will fit my B16a head??? cuz the intake manifold is completely diff. YES or NO?? thnks guys but if the headers are inter changeable i'm gonna pick this setup for under 4 digits comprende! he owes BIG TIME!! i got him 23'' tires for his RAM for dirt cheap so he knows what i want ( TURBO!! ) i dont really care about the gsr motor just the turbo, so again if this TURBO HEADER WILL FIT MY B16A HEAD, then for sure its a go ahead! cool thnks guys
