Okay here is the deal, i did a little searching around and didn't find the answer i was looking for. I have a B16a1 with a ys1? tranny anyways it has extremely close ratios so that 5th geAR AT 80KM IS 3000rpm. I would like a shop to take out my tranny and replace the 5th gear with an overdrive 5th. The reason being i have to drive my car out to BC for school in september. Later i may swap the original back in...

Well considering all the work you did on your car you COULD do it yourself. But if you are not comfortable doing this work, ask Scott-93HBSi or scott newman if they can perform the work for you. I think Buddah would also be able to do it, so maybe call him up too.

I could do it myself but i have time constraints as well a no interest in doing the work without some kind of hoist.... But mainly its a time issue!

Have you also considered finding a cable Integra LS transmission for your car instead of tearing into your current transmission to replace gears, possibly twice? Just a thought.

I considered this option but... My current tranny is a LSD which the integra is not! Im willing to pay to have it done.
