good tire pressure?

Does PSI relate to tire size/width/aspect ratio at all?
I always figure a lower profile tire would need slightly more pressure to relieve any sag in the sidewall. I was running my 205/40/17 tires at 36 - 38. I found 38 to be perfect and the tires didn't have any max. rating that I can remember seeing.

also keep in mind if you believe in following what honda says in the doors....don't think they expected their civic to get lowered and have 17" 205/40 tires do you. those pressures are for stock cars with same size as stock to provide a good ride with the stock suspension.
again 32 is the most recommend, 30-40 is fine...personally preference. some people like the soft presssures, fine, nothing wrong with that. some like to ride at 40psi again fine, as long as your tire is not wearing more in the middle or edges its ok.
