Hey guy i am riding in a stock 94 civic cx hatch. if i punch it i seem to get a little pick me up closer to redline. i do not have a tach so i can't tell you at what RPM this is at but i was just wondering what causes this. the engine is not vtec.

what you are feeling is your torque peaking, it happens somwhere above 5k rpm. thats when the right combination of many factors comes together
