Energy Suspension Bushings

Another question about these.
I was talking to eric about it and he was telling me that the energy suspension master kit comes in either grey or red.
Just wondering what the difference was again.

Also does this pic show all the bushings that can be replaced on a civic?

and if so how would i go about replacing the bushings on the front and rear suspension??? because i have tein ha full coilovers so my question is can i take it apart just like the stock ones and replace em with the es bushings or do i leave them be?

thanks guys.

installing a master bushing kit will take even the most experienced person a full day 8+ hours easily, and thats if everything comes apart easily, which it won't. You will need a press and a lot of patience. But the end result is very good. Just make sure to use LOTS of lube since the bushings are polyurethane. If you don't lube them up really really good they will squeak, and its really annoying. I beleive the red bushings are stiffer than the grey ones. This kit will kill some of the comfort on a daily driver as it stiffens up the suspension pretty good. Its personally not something i would do to my daily driven street car, but to each their own.

you saw how my suspension is right now its all in pieces so its easy for me to take them out since i wont have to bother taking it apart from the car etc....

i plan on tracking the car every minute i get a chance to so this is a must for me.

I was told that red is regular poly and prone to squeaking.
Black (or grey as you call it) is poly with graphite and won't squeak.

I don't think having coilovers is going to effect the way your car comes apart, or what busihngs can be replaced. btw I've got tien ha's as well! I have the red bushings on my car and i found they did squeak for a while then went away. It seems if i don;t drive the car for a while ( a few months) the bushings will be squeaky the 1st few weeks i drive..

so which one is better they grey or the red?
cuz if one is better then the other i dont care if they squeek or not.

also brett when i meant tein suspension i am talking about the part in the pic where it is showing to take apart the front and rear coilover assembly and replace its bushing.
just want to know if i should do that or if the tein ones are good already?

ppl say you need a press, its not true all you need is some decent tools like a bfh, a saw and a flat screwdriver. i did the bushings on my crx no press at all. it would probably be easier with a press but not necessary! i was told the red are stiffer but the black are less prone to squeeking cuz they are graphite impregnated. as for taking apart the coilover assembly i wouldnt unless they are really worn, stick with tein cuz they built the coilovers to work as a system.

Do you mean the ones in the top "hat" of the shocks, #17? If so i used the urathane bushings. I bought my tiens 2nd hand and they did not come with that part.

yes number 17's.

basically my tein ha is one complete assembly so its not dismantled i was just wondering if i should bother taking out the tein ones and replace it with these.
but like higguns said they are made specifically for the teins so maybe i shouldnt go and replace them with the es ones.
whats you take?

As long as the tiens came new in one piece like that, I say keep the Tein ones. They make a good coilover so it only makes sense they put a good bushing in it.
