It's common for non-stock sway bars to break end links... think of it as a fuse against bending or breaking something more important. My guess is your susp is not stiff enough. A sway bar is supposed to be for HELPING reduce body roll, not for it to do 95% of reducing body roll... springs are supposed to do that

they're not broken....
they're worn.... and making noises coz the ball joint is worn
I know this coz I check and there's a little play in the joint on one side and I think the other side is starting to wear out...
**** *** comptech endlinks.....
so where can I get better ones?

Stock no worky??? I have a friend with Eibach Pro Kit and a AWR rear sway (Mazda Protege) and he snapped a bunch of endlinks. So I thought yours snapped too. His make a buttload of noise like creaks and knocks and whatnot... but they are BRAND new. It IS a racing part... not a street part. Why won't stock work, diff't style? Can you modify or adapt stock to Comptech?

Hey,
I'm currently building a set of endlinks for an ITR bar installation that I'm doing on my ek hatch.
I'm using the cheapest rod ends I could buy from speedway motors (www.speedwaymotors.com) With sealing washers to keep road crap out. Not sure how long they will last -- I intend to upgrade the rod ends each time they break until I get to the optimum cost / breakage ratio
You need to know the diameter of the hole in the rod end. Walk into home depot with them and start sticking bolts into them until you find one that fits snugly in the hole (no play).
My beaks kit uses a 7/16" bronze bushing in the end of the swaybar. Yours will probably be different.
Now, go to your local circle track supplier, or visit speedway motors or jegs or summit racing website and order two male, two female rod ends in the correct size. You'll also want a package of sealing washers:
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/asp...qx/product.htm
You can spend some money on teflon lined rod ends if you like; no metal to metal contact means a longer life, but you're going to be paying for it too...

Where to buy rod ends in GTA?
Good question...
Like I said, I bought mine from speedway motors.
A night at a nearby dirt track or 1/2 mile oval would probably do the trick...
I tried to find a list of QA1 dealers in Canada, but couldn't find anything. YOu may have better luck.
I don't know if looking through the yellow pages would help or not.
Also, you could try giving CSC racing a call -- they build stock car chassis -- if they don't sell them, they might be able to put you in touch with someone who does.
Oh, and when you find out, please post back here. I'd like to know too!

R0Y you really should bitch at Comptech for their shitty *** endlinks
I can't remember if I read this on the net or a magazine, but Comptech at one point did realize that their endlinks are shitty and they redesigned them or something, so you really should check back with them on this before you buy and DIY your own teflon endlinks
I might be wrong about Comptech redesigning their endlinks, however you really should put it up as a concern

ryuujin..... I already asked alex to check but he said that they don't have warranty on the endlinks.... but then again maybe he's just lazy to check for me
h22a ... I don't think so... I got it coz I don't have to worry about ripping my subframe

cool Moose Thanks!
sketch the stock endlinks are different and they don't have that many parts so I don't think u'll have such problem but if u like to corner hard then it's best to upgrade ur endlinks coz the oem ones are not strong enough

Can't remember how much they were, maybe like $40??
Ask Rich to phone Speedtech.
They're ok I guess. No complaints.
