Eibach Sportlines Questions...

I am debating whether or not I should go for the Eibach Sportlines, I used the search function and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I know they drop the car about 1.8" front and 1.6" in the rear and will probably go lower after settling in. The person I'm buying the springs from, he used it for a year and said that he didn't experience any camber wear. I am going to be riding on my stock 14" steelies for the next couple of months. Here are my questions:

1. Am I going to blow my shocks fast?

2. Is the ride quality going to be ****ty?

3. Am I going to need a camber kit?

4. Anybody have any pictures with these springs?

**If I can think of any more questions, I will ask.

Thanks,
Fred

Camber wear? Yes
Blow shocks?Yes
****e ride qualityYes(stock springs)
Ask anyone, when doing suspension you should mate aftermarket springs with aftermarket shocks. Stock struts were not meant for lowered vehicles.

i think the camber wear and blown shocks etc....would come over time....unless u drive like a total jackass....
i know some friends who ride on stock shocks and are fine. . . cause they drive properly...and dont' hit potholes and hardcore bumps and don't turn at 50km/h . . .

after time ur gonna notice all these things......but defiently not right away. . .

say 5months down the rd. get a set of shocks. . . .and u'll be fine.....heck u dont even half to if u dont want to. . . but once u get rims . . . invest in those shocks and a camber kit if u want everything lookin good. . and running good. .

i have them....ran stock struts for about 20000kms.... then a rear blew. I had little to no camber problems...ride quality was good when the struts were in good shape. If you want some pics....add me to msn and i will send you acouple. But there are off a EG and not a EK like in your info.

I have sportlines on stock shocks...I have no camber wear problems cuz I have some slight toe in to counter act it...normal driving is okay on the shocks but when it comes to bumpy sections I wish I had some koni/tokico shocks

its a pretty decent setup...I dont mind it

I have sportlines
I rode on them on stock shocks for well over 40K never had a problem.
on 14" wheels there is little to no camber wear.
on 15" wheels you will get some camber wear
on 16" wheels you will definately get camber wear

When I eventually changed my shocks to KYB AGX, I noticed an improvement in ride quality over stock.

Of course replacing both the struts and springs at the same time is the way to go, but if it has to be one after the other, then I think the safe way is to replace the struts first. Of course going this route does not give you the "look" you want, right away, and selling the stock struts wouldn't get you much if anything so...
