eg: b18b swap
are you supposed to use the 92-95 civic wiring harness
or the b18b1 integra wiring harness for a b18b1 swap into an eg (92-95 civic) |
the b18b1 works in a EG? i thought they didnt wire up

OBDII is for losers! :D it's probably the easiest and cleanest swap into a 5th gen. |

"run the teg harness from the strut tower. "
??? i need some explanation please! the engine is obdII...the ecu is obdI...how do i make it all perfect? and would the civic harness modification be available for me to read anywhere? thank you |
from the strut tower...
does that mean i have to grab the integra harness that goes from the ecu into the engine bay (top of strut tower) ??? |
jugglez i knew the 94+ could swap with no problems, i was refering to the 90-93, there just as easy?? :shrugs:
|
the b18b1 i have is a '98
with a '94 ecu damn im still trying to figure this out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! should i have used that damn civic harness? if so, i'm gonna have to switch harnesses with the engine in the car |
how much do these engines go for
installed? in an eg? |
i'm not too sure about the installed price, cause i did it myself
but you can probably find the full swap for around 2000-2500 anywhere around there |

recap: 98 engine...94 ecu
i tried to run the civic harness today, that alot of ppl have said is plug and play...it ain't that easy am i supposed to cut plugs off of the ls harness and wire them onto the corresponding part of the civic harness? jugglez: "or run the teg harness from the strut tower." -->can you explain this for me please! |
need a conversion harness or just plain ol run a OBD1 ECU off a B18B and leave the rest of the wires loose... I don't like that idea, but if you want cheap but still run w/ no CEL, then that's your sol'n. Recap: use obd1 ecu off B18B and plug it in, engine wiring, just splice to appropriate wires if the plugs are diff't... done. Shoulda bought the same OBD generation :richslap:
