eg: b18b swap

are you supposed to use the 92-95 civic wiring harness
or the b18b1 integra wiring harness for a b18b1 swap into an eg (92-95 civic)

i have one in my EG. so do alot of others on this forum

<-------------- it looks like this

to answer the original question:

if the B18B1 is OBDI you can use your exisitng Civic harness and run the B18B1 OBDI ecu.

if the B18B1 is OBDII you can either run the Civic harness with some modification to the plugs or run the teg harness from the strut tower. either way you'll still need an OBDI ecu. OBDII is for losers!

it's probably the easiest and cleanest swap into a 5th gen.

i'm not too sure about the installed price, cause i did it myself
but you can probably find the full swap for around 2000-2500
anywhere around there

yup
but if you're putting a b18a in your car you might want to think of a rebuild first

recap: 98 engine...94 ecu

i tried to run the civic harness today, that alot of ppl have said is plug and play...it ain't that easy
am i supposed to cut plugs off of the ls harness and wire them onto the corresponding part of the civic harness?

jugglez: "or run the teg harness from the strut tower."
-->can you explain this for me please!

need a conversion harness or just plain ol run a OBD1 ECU off a B18B and leave the rest of the wires loose... I don't like that idea, but if you want cheap but still run w/ no CEL, then that's your sol'n. Recap: use obd1 ecu off B18B and plug it in, engine wiring, just splice to appropriate wires if the plugs are diff't... done. Shoulda bought the same OBD generation
