dohc zc??
I have a 88 civic dx and i'm going to swap in a dohc zc motor from a performance shop that gave me a quote of $1100 for a complete motor plus installation. Just wanted to know if that sounds like the right price for all that because to me it sounds a little cheap... thanx.

Em1, how do you figure, motor & tranny is about $700.00
plus you need to get it all installed and swap over to mpfi, remember, re-and-re takes time, it cost me $600.00 to replace a headgasket & for parts...damn if i would have known at the time.

you only need axles if you use the ZC transmission
therefore you need integra axles and the ZC intermediate shaft..
otherwise CX/DX/SI axles all fit into the SI/DX/CX tranny and they all bolt to the ZC, remember a zc is still a dseries..
if you have a STD model 4spd you need to change the knuckles & axles because they are different # of spline count
you could always just change the axle hubs, but I think they wouldnt hold that power.
