Just get a universal resonator for the thickness of your pipe.

When I did a resonator, it really didn't do much for reducing noise.. More so, helped reduce the raspy sound u get out of hondas.

i have an 18" resonator with a OEM style magnaflow muffler on my ef, with 2.5" piping and it sounds sweet. Longer the resonator=smoother/quieter it is.

I used a 14" stainless magnaflow resonator when I had my itr exhaust finished up. best sounding exhaust Ive ever had. Go with magnaflow. Theyre a bit pricey but very good stuff.

DC sports Twin loop Legal?

Hey, I was wondering if the "DC sport twin canister cat-back exhaust" are legal or illegal? I have gotten 2 tickets in the past 3 weeks for improper muffler and unnecessary noises. please let me know! If you can get a link with information on that muffler, that would be great.

Thanks! =)

i dont see why it would be illegal if it is doing its job as an exhaust for the vehicle. Is it REALLY loud?

I thought the only reason why they design the twinloop was to cut down on the noise, and as long as the noise doesn't exceed a certain point then its legal right? you should prob search on the DC website and see.

Very True.

Im running a greddy twin res. and when i took my muffler off? it was loud as hell... fack.

Resonator usually takes that raspy sound away. at the end of the day your rear section is whats going to quiet down the car.

as far as I know
anything that is not stock can be considering 'improper muffler' and the excess noise, if its loud...well.. that should answer your question... that doesn't really have anything to do with the muffler being legal or not.

These are both easily win-able in court... record the noise of your muffler, then the noise of a 18 wheeler or a harley, show judge....

for improper muffler.... it came like that, it passes emissions, it the same size as some other stock cars exhausts.. .lots of excuses u can use...

i had the dc twin loop on my car before...i could barely hear it compared to the intake...i never got pulled over for it but if a cop targets you it doesn't really matter.

apexi world sport exhaust is quiet enough and chambered.
