d16z6 valve cover removal

d16z6 valve cover removal

just a quick question will the d series valve cover come right off when i take the bolts right off the top or do i have to take the timing chain cover off to?

wow man... timing chain?
just take off the 6 (i think) bolts that are visible from the top and u may have an engine ground in the corner. then pull the spark plug wires out and the valve cover will come right off. Dont need to mess around with a timing chain because your car does not have one

be extra careful when you torque the bolts back down. i snapped one of them in the head when i torqued mine done by hand.

you don't need to take off the timing belt cover...

theres going to be a gasket that seals the cover when u take it off... the gasket may be ****ed when u remove your original cover so i would suggest u have a new gasket handy before u pull the thing off...
