d16z6 swap questions

I'm dropping a d16z6 into my 90 crx si and plan on using the stock ecu and harness. Now will the fields boxer vtec controller work to engage vtec for my obd0 ecu? Also will my a6 flywheel/clutch bolt up to the z6 motor. My clutch and flywheel are only a month old and would hate to see them not used. And last is there a big difference between an a6 vs. z6 tranny. I have both and would like to know which would benefit me more. Thanks.

a6 tranny is what ur gonna want to use cuz its cable not hydraulic like the z6 tranny..gearing is pretty similar as well

The motor will be a little shimmed, make sure the crx is manual (5spd) and you retain all your existing mounts..

the a6 (si) tranny will bolt up to the z6 motor as well as the flywheel&clutch..

PROBLEM AREA : is the distributor..you will have to drill out the legs of the stock SI (d16a6) distributor to fit the z6 head, or make some sort of adapter plate, or convert to obd-1 and use the z6 distributor and ecu..

Cool thanks for the input but what I really need to know is will The fields vtec controller work with obd0 ecu and what do you mean by "shimmed"?

yes it will work with the vtec controller, the motor will be slanted a little compared to the fitment in the eg's......no worries, i used to have a d16y8 in my '90 civic....
