D16y8

hey guys...i had a quick question....should i put on a Y8 head on2 my D15 vtec....would it make a diff...the guy said the head is from a 98 si...

why bother. alot of cash to swap the head for a minimal increase. imo

wait.. you have a d15 vtec? Isn't the d15 vtec only JDM? (i'm 90% sure it is)

anyways, if you do have that engine, why bother? Spend the money on raising your compression or a more aggressive cam or a better tune, etc. Or spend it else where on your vehicle.

I thought the eg si's were d15 vtec.

d16z6 is in the EG si's.

d15b7's are the cx's, i believe

the d15b is jdm and is also vtec, eg si's came with a d16z6 and the eg dx an cx with a d15b7

yes it is vtec and its only in japan ...not in north america...and umm..this guy said $50 and it has 150 kms....and would it b alot of work?

pass it up, there will be very minimal gains if any. changing a head on a motor isnt that easy of a task either.

d15b has better ports than y8 so keep the d15b.

d15b also have much more agressive vtex cam lobes then y8 or z6
