Originally posted by andrews03 i just changed my distributor and plugs a full tune up, how would i go about checking if theyre good or bad?? plugs is a visual inspection. (google for this) it's too much for me to explain and it helps with pictures. Wires.. you can check the resistance, rule of thumb is no more than 7000ohms per foot. I think Honda spec might be a little different though, bruno might chime in on this. Cap and rotor, once again is visual inspection. Coil/ICM is most likely not your cause, so I will not touch on this. But if you JUST did a full tune up like you said, then ignition shouldn't be your problem, unless you bought used parts or something?? |

Originally posted by bbarbulo well it actually sounds to me like you're describing a misfire under high load. I would start by checking your distributor cap and rotor, plus wires and plugs. those are the most likely culprits. it doesn't sound like clutch slip, since you say you hit the gas and end up doing burnouts lol ... doesn't sound like a clutch problem at all. |
