are the spark plug wires on in the right order?

imported_Cablerat 10-Oct-2005 01:24 PM

if you were running on 3 cyls the car would either have a very rough idle or most likely stall without any throttle, so I doubt that's your problem.

Is there any ecu codes?

imported_doggy69247 10-Oct-2005 09:27 PM

no no codes eather i had o2 sensor and knock sensor but i get new ones but i had this problem be4 the codes ::)

i think the wires are in the right order i dont realy know tho i just put them on back were they have allways been i wrote on them 1/2/3/4/ and they went back in the same places i had this problem with the old dizzy be4 i changed it ??

well try pulling one spark plug wire off the spark plug at a time and see if the engine runs different.

just take it to a mechanic. that is what they're paid for.

90% of what makes a good mechanic is diagnostic ability. 8% is dealing with seized/broken bolts. 2% is being able to r&r parts.

since you are not a mechanic, you lack diagnostic ability. so let a pro handle it.

yea i tried the pull one cap off and it does run different on every cilinder

i had it at 5000rpm and tested eatch wire with a flasher think they all workied so now im thinking mabie sparkplug gapped wrong ?? they are all a realy good colour no carbon nothing nice orange like they should be so after all that stil any ideas???
