I'd check the sheild that is behind your rotor and also the brakes...the backing plate may be rubbing on your rotor (hence the rubbing/grinding noise) or there may be a rock stuck between the pads and rotor.

If it was a CV joint, you would hear a clicking noise when turning and going over bumps

same thing happened with me... my CV boot was completely ripped.... I ended up replacing the shaft cheap because I could do the labor myself.

Take a look asap.

I'd suggest getting rebuilt axles ... I beleive you get the rebuilt ones then take them the used ones and you get a certain amount back

I was like WTF as well.... I brought it to my buddy's shop and thats what he said he could it for, brand new.

I helped him,,, paid 0 labor,,, and we changed a balljoint at the same time.... total cost came to like 2 bills just on parts.

And we rebalanced all my wheels, machined a drum....

Don't they get $100 back when they return your busted shaft? Or is that a myth?

you get some money back for returning a core... assuming you bought something from them to begin with. maybe your Acura dealer carries rebuilt units... did it come in a Honda/Acura box or bag with a Honda/Acura part number and tag... you know the red or baby blue tags?
