Cost Of B18B Swap

I'd like to drop a B18B Engine into my 92 Dx Hatchback Automatic, meaning I'm converting to 5spd.

How much will this all run me?

Probably $4500 for a B18C1 (with papers) and thats lowballing it.

Also another $1000 or so for the auto to manual conversion.

Regards,
OK

Thanks for the info.

However, I DO NOT want the B18C1 (GS-R), I want to swap in the B18B (LS) engine, how much will the B18B cost me to swap in?

B18B? I dunno, prolly $3000-$3500ish, and then $1000 for your manual conversion.

that sounds about right for the b18b, they might not be the fastest motors but still a pain to swap
but the manual conversion is the part that hurts...

I just got off the phone with Kustom Sport Racing. They said the wohle thing will cost approx. $3500. I'm going to see if I can find a low mileage B18B for cheaper and have them do the swap and conversion plus if I'm a member of TCC I get a discount.

For that $3500 you just drop your car off and pick it up a few days later with the entire thing changed over (assuming you already have a manual tranny)?
You get to keep your old engine?

Hey man i dropped a LS engine in my 92 civic with a GSR tranner, converted from auto tomanual done by Kustom Sport Racing and it was mint. You will love the power you get out of it. Speak to KEN and he'll can find you the motor too. My whole swap cost me under 3500 with the manual conversion. Cant say an exact price but shouldnt be much diff. You can pick up a B18B engine for about 800 bucks.

heh.. B18B. good luck finding one!! I was ll set to swap, but there are like NONE in the GTA.. trust me, i called EVERY shop around.. hence the reason i went to the Si of our gen (D16Z6)
but if you do find one, installed you're looking anywhere from 3500-4500 depending on what parts are needed, plus the conversion to stick.. best bet is to go B16 if ya have the $$, if not, the Si is a potent engine, and you're since you have a CX, the a/c and power steering won't be there to drain the horses off the si.

Bro stay the hell away from JK, nothing good will come out of that place, I promise you. Call this number and speak to Ken 416-618-6706. Tell him what your looking for and allt he details and see what he can do for you. Tell him Yashar sent you.

I'll second Yashar's post about JK, unless you've got hookups with someone who works there they'll sell you a crap motor.
