Civic fuse problem

Hey Guys,

I am having bit of an issue with my car. Basically as soon as i turn the key to ign (right before cranking it), it blows fuse 24 and then it wont start because theres no power going to the ignitor, i looked through the service manual and according to that fuse 24 is for SRS unit and has no connection to the ign wires. I am just puzzled. I have looked through all the ignition wires (theres an alarm installed), they all seem to be fine, i even disconnected the alarm wires to make sure that it wasnt creating any problems, but still same thing, and another thing is that the radio stopped working as well, while the clock is working (Same fuse). I was thinking of connecting the ign wire directly from the switch to the coil to see if it works, but i am not sure if theres a fuse in the middle or not.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

so one day you turned the key and it stopped working?

did the stereo stop working before the problem? did it all happen at once?

ok so basically everything was working fine, i tried to open my cars door with the remote (aftermarket actuators) and all of a sudden they just started closing opening really fast and the siren went off so i opened the door and everything was fine again, but when i tried to start the car, it would crank but wont start, checked the fuses and no 24 was blown, so i replace it and as soon as i turn my key to ign, the fuse blew again. So then i took off all the alarm wires (i assumed the alarm was gone) but the car still keeps doing the same thing. The stereo wasnt working but that was the decks fuse at the back, its working now. So what i wanna know is, wats connected to fuse 24, cuz obviously theres a short in something. maybe a grounding issue?.

Its fixed. Basically, i swaped out my seats with ek ones a few days back, and no one has sat on em till the day before, and apparently, they have this metal hook at the front of the rear bottom part (in the middle, eg's dont) and that metal basically pinched the fuel pump wire, re routed the wire and voila its fine again. Just thought i would post this for future reference.
