civic D15Y7 intake help!

My buddy has a 1997 Civic CX Hatchback. After doing some research ive figured out he has the honda civic D15Y7 engine. However, he bought an intake for it and i cant figure out how the hell to put this think on. I dont know how many of you remember what the honda civic D15Y7 looks like, buts its ALOT of stock intake peices and alot of plastic!
If anyone can post a pic of a honda civic D15Y7 engine i would really appreciate it.

thanks guys.

Are you sure it's a D15Y7 and not a D16Y7? If so, I have the same engine in my coupe. You will have a plastic angled box on the top of the intake manifold that has a plastic piping that goes to another box at the front passenger side of the car. All of that has to come off in order to put the intake on. You will have to take off all the sensors around the intake manifold as well.

It's basically a no name intake, but with the intakes we have, it has to bend right at the intake then flow down. All the plastic that goes with the OEM intake has to all come out. You wull have lots of space in there when you take the OEM intake out. Don't have any pics, but can take some or if someone else has some post it up later. (not at home right now shhhh!!)

You will need that bend at the top as the intake points up instead of to the side which would use the one your friend bought.

There is a guy selling a D16Y7 intake on the board, you might want to check it out and see for your friend
