Where do I get the 2.25" is it special order from CT?
I'm not a magnaflow fan, sorry... not approved
Heres some "cheap vs expensive" food for thought.
1st, the welds on your custom axelbacks will rust out long before your muffler or piping. So whether you get a SS muffler with a life time warranty or an el cheapo muffler, the welds are the weak point and what goes first.
2nd, the baffling and stuffing will take more abuse and will get pushed around in your exhaust. So after a few years while your casing looks nice and pretty, but you notice that your muffler doesn't sound the same as when you first got it.... now you know the answer.

JSK - the 2.25 and 2.5 should be readily available. I saw them at a CT at Steeles and Hwy 10.
If they don't have them, then NAPA does for sure.

JSK, you remember how my Saturn sounds? That's a Flowmaster w/o being filled with crap. There is no insulation inside. It's all about baffles that cancel out sound. IMO, it sounds *******. Not loud at all. And it's aluminized steel as well, so it's easy to weld up. If you want something that's not all ghay and straight through, go with the flowmaster 40 series.

I think the whole point in this matter is that you need not spend $$$ to get a decent functional exhaust. This rule of thumb applies to everything. From the money you save, you can always find a use for it on something else (like a new powerwasher..buffer..air compressor..HVLP gun...welder..)

I bought one for 31.99 (on sale) for my bro's CRX. The sound is decent and not too loud. I actually painted the whole cat back with black bbq paint. The only problem with these mufflers (aluminized vs ss) is that it'll probably rust from the inside out. But if it lasts for 2 years i'll be more than happy.

Yes for the price not bad,but arnt these mufflers meant for larger displacement engines, how do the work with small displacement engines.I heard one on a neon(i know a neon)and it sounded like it was blowing bubbles at idle.I have a cheapy straight through muffler and it sounds like crap,i want to get a chambered muffler with a bit more back pressure
