Check for Engine Type

Sorry for the lame question guys.

everyones always talking about the different kinds of engine swaps, etc... if you have this motor get this, and this one buy that... blah blah

how the heck do i tell what kind of engine is in my 94 coupe si??
is there an engine code somewhere, where is it?

yep;

d16Z6 is forsure what you have. 1.6L SOHC VTEC. the engine number will be stamped on a small square on the left lower side of the engine, just below the vtec celanoid.

*note* ...sometimes you'll have to wipe away any dirt or oil to be able to read it.
