thats what i was thinking but i read somewhere on the net that it is somehow tied into the heating element of the O2 sensor

it could be but if anything it would have to do with putting an extra load on the engine which an oxygen sensor doesnt really do.

idling up and down or around 800-900 steadily? If its up and down then its probably a very small vacuum leak, check the brake booster hose or any other vacuum lines you connected for leaks.

here's the deal, cause i've been going nuts on a charging prob myself. the ELD is basically just an ammeter (it measures the car's current use while running). BUT, fc 20 can also set if A) you have low charging voltage / weak alternator, or B) if you have idle-speed (low idle) probs.

thats off H-T

yea its 800-900 steadily every second it would go up and down.
all the lines appear to be hooked up properly.
maybe there might be a pin hole leak in the hose???

spray some carb cleaner on all of the vacuum lines. If the idle rises or drops then its sucking in the carb cleaner and you've found the leak. Do this also on the throttle body gasket and intake manifold gasket.

only crappy thing about it is that the fact that the intake manifold on the gsr swoops downwards so its hard to reach those vacuum lines.

You shouldn't have to worry about the CEL code 20. It will appear when you jump the 2 pin connector, but other then that it shouldn't trigger the CEL light.
