Did you do any changes recently to your fuel linkages? i.e. fuel filter, fuel line (from filter to rail)... etc

Another possibility is that your lines to your fuel filter (which, if i remember correctly, is right on the firewall) could be leaking. Run the car and check for leaks in the engine bay.

i havent done anything with the car or nothing, but recently ive been throwing a code p0320 or p0230, cat effiency something something, i wonder if me leakin oil had anything to do with it, i think my cat might be a bit clogged and my o2 sensor mut be ****ed, maybe that has something to do with it? but i dont smell exhaust fumes, i smell gas and tons of it! im like high when i get to work haha

any ideas would help, and ill definately check my fuel filter (and yes ur right, its on the passenger side on the firewall)

and i dont think my lines are leakin or whatever, i only smell it when i start the car, and i dont see puddles of any sort of liquid under the car

and according to my pos air/fuel guage im not runnin rich.. haha

y not just take it to a shop....its clear you can't find the problem....a gas leak is a SERIOUS issue. I wouldn't wait to fix this.
Not everyone can just walk into splitfire and use their tools.

I also have a gas smell like you mentioned. Only when my windows are open i can smell it, but its promminent when you can smell it. And it only does it periodically, which is weird.

I put it up on the hoist and its leaking from where the fuel line goes into the gas tank. And im assuming since i can only smell it when the car is running it is a return line? thherefore only leaking while the pump is getting fuel.

I asked a garage how much it would be and was quoted almost $700 for parts and labour. So i decided to do it myself.

Im not sure if this is the same smell your getting but it might give an an idea...

Kyle.

welcome to my world...

could be a cracked weld around your cat or something. i am running a modded cx exhaust onto the b18c exhaust header and it leaks a bit and thats where you get the gas smell, but more exhaust.. coimes through the bottom of the car and through the shifter area...

it keeps me relaxed...
