all I know is some of the bushings down here get real bad, maybe its because of the cold or salty conditions in the harsh winters, could very well be diff in other parts.

your right that is very true out here in Alberta we don't use salt on the roads. So yes maybe by chance you just got one you have to cut off. I am just saying what I do and it works for me. I am not trying to step on any toes or anything.
