mourad, I guess your ins. company paid for your accident instead of denying is because your airbag was still attached to the car and sometimes, airbags didn't pop due to the airbag sensor, not saying the sensor was not working but sometimes the accident didn't affect the sensor then teh airbag won't pop.
Also, insurance adjuster will just go over to bodyshop to check out your car roughly, not going to check on the electircal failure. So you are lucky they didn't know your airbag wasn't working ahead.
Again, for airbag steering, it will cost alot to replace if you go back to dealership, more like 1000+ for one side, that was what I heard from my friend's bodyshop for a 97 Prelude since you have to replace not only the steering and airbag but also alot of sensors, airbag computer or some sort. So alot of times, insurance will write off the car when the airbag popped even the damage is very small but apparently that is according to what vechile you've got.

You got lucky.

As for twitisting the story around.....you better hope your insurance adjuster doesn't read that. We've had some "stange" things happen to some TCC memnebers after they stated that they might have "ablibed" a little about what REALLY happened to them.

Just a warning for ya.
