Broke axle...help
so i have a 98 si coupe. i went to take off one morning and there was a bang/crack. the axle broke, so i took it apart, and the end of the axle that goes into the tranny is still stuck in there. its the thickness of a dime, and its at the end of the teeth at the back of the hole... im trying to get a magnet to pull it threw but it doesnt seem that it wants to go threw the teeth... its loose, and when you pull a but it start to come threw the grooves.... but then it sticks, weather there are some burs at the back of the piece or whatever, either way i can seem to get it threw the hole of the tranny....
is there anyway i can get this out without opening up my tranny and dumping it out the casing... thanks... |
hugh, I can't understand what is stuck in your tranny? A dime sized piece of your driveshaft?

hahaha what the **** man
too bad its not LSD.. um. the only thing i can think of is to somehow drill out the center (which would leave ****ty metal grinds in your diff.) and put a drift in that and pry it out. Honestly man.. your screwed, there's no easy way I can think of.. newman.. i think he means whats left of the axle above the snapring broke off inside his diff. Which ive never seen happen and find extremely odd |
tap it and pull her out
