IMO yes - you loose torque from 3000 to 42-4500 rpm. Actually it becomes flat...

2" is ideal. Remember our stock piping diameter is 1 5/8.

Punk - you can get mandrel elbows. There is a performance muffler shop on Hwy 10 - just south of Steeles that will do.
They are more expensive than paying the $7.99 I did at CT for my crush bent ones.

i have 2 options now and i need advise on what to do...

1.High flow cat/Vibrant Midpipe/Vibrant axleback(canada tire stuff)

2.High flow cat/vibrant midpipe/Custom axleback with Ractive Black chrome muffler and silencer...

i figure both will cost the same and i guess i dun know what either will sound like with my b16a

thanks

I believe magnaflow sells pre-bent mandrel piping.

I prefer a custom exhaust setup, only because I couldn't afford a direct bolt-on system. If I had the cash, I would have gotten a bolt-on.
Custom is also good because you can choose your shiit out, piping size, res. size, muffler, ect..

Remember one thing, 95% of the time you get what you pay for. An authentic Mugen Twin Loop exhaust is goign to be quieter and make more power on the dyno then a "custom" exhaust to a ractive rice can............

Brullen???? Are you kidding me?

Brullen is absoulte crap, I wouldn't use a Brullen exhaust for my cat's litter box, let alone mount it on my car. I poop on Brullen. They made the cheapest, most ridiculous exhausts I've ever seen. Most of them rotted off in the first winter. I remember when I was in school, everyone had Brullen exhausts in Waterloo. Then, when spring came, none of them had exhausts at all they fell off. This was a while back, but regardless, I'd NEVER put a Brullen on my Honda. I'd rather build a custom exhaust than that crap, and I'm not too fond of custom exhaust either, unless they are purpose built, like a 3 inch turbo exhaust or something. Basically, I like the big co's... RS*R, Greddy, Tanabe, HKS, Invidia, Jasman, etc. NOT DC, and NOT Ractive or OBX.

well I've been to their shop things have improved. stainless steel and custom built .... also the fact that they will build it towards what your application will be and if your not happy with the dyno numbers you just go back to get it redone differently to try and meet those dyno numbers....

Still, that memory can't be undone. Brullen to me will NEVER be any good, I don't care what they do. They should have changed their name when they made all these changes.

used exhausts often have little to no insulation left in them. over time the heat breaks down insulation and it all blows out the pipe and you are left with an empty shell. IMO, buy new.
