B20 is the most potent motor if made correctly going the CR-VTEC route.

best of all frank motors.
just gotta build it correctly, some clearanace issues but still do-able........

you just gotta wonder how deep your pockets are when building that....

LS would be my best bet for Turbo, nice gearing that goes with the Turbo.. nice and long gears = awesome,.

i agree with you.......
just like comparing a 1.8T golf and a VR6.
though the 1.8T has potential being a Turbo'd vehicle, the VR6 is by far a heavy motor... so the additional weight would give it a better advantage keeping the power to the ground...

now back to the question bout putting a 2.2 in a hatch and doing a circuit/roadcourse can outrun a B18c1/5 in a circuit???

i beg to differ on that one...
being a heavy motor would give u a disadvantage coming out of the corner due to heavy UNDERSTEER...

you can have all the torque u want, but that isnt going to have u win a race.

like i said before.... its all tuning... and how u want to go about these motors... VTEC's or non VTEC's these Honda motors are potent in there own way.... so im not dissing no one....

i do in fact believe that 1sloweg knows his POOP when he discussed his issues on the CRANK pully about the harmonic balancing on my post a few days ago.....ill give him that credit, but maybe he should read the SUBJECT before he rants about something else... regarding the same issue..

my .02 cents

b18c is quicker then the h22.area under the curve..whatever.

take a look at race results.

your ignorance is glaring!!

I'd like to hear something OTHER than "I think it's quicker". Do you have any evidence??

Since you don't understand scientific principles like area under the curve, let's show you a real world example.

Stock for stock Prelude vs ITR it's 15.1 vs. 14.9 quarter mile. These are accepted and published figures. Prelude weighs in at 2975 lbs and the ITR weighs in at 2639 lbs. 100 lbs is 0.1 seconds in the quarter, so knock off 3 tenths and we have 14.8 Prelude and 14.9 ITR. End of story :shrugs:
