B16a2 With B18a1 Tranny Help With Swap
ok here is my problem
I pick up a b16a2 for $800 in montreal
only engine!! i got axels, tranny, and starter for my stock engine!!
I got a b18a1 tranny ( cable)
WHAT I BOUGHT SO FAR FOR SWAP IS
the engine mounts for the tranny and passenger!!!
the rear bracket from an acura integra GSR
i got all the axels
i got the starter
I got a cable clutch
I got a trottle cable
WHAT I NEED
1-WHAT distributor can I use that will plug into my civic hardness (92 civic vx vtec sohc) and where can i get one cheap.... will the obd1 distributor from a b16a2 plug right into my hardness or what kind of cahnges do i need!!
2-Need shifter linkage from gsr
AND WHAT OTHER PROBLEMS WILL I HAVE with doing this swap.. whats killing me is the hydro to cable convertion!!!

yeah, bro i hear your problem.....that hydro to cable conversion is going to cost you more than its worth...i would check out hasport.com and see what they say...they should have a kit for your needs there. obd1 should be okay...but i'll check it out for you just in case....have you looked at ebay for additional parts?

you can use the stock shifter linkages but you have to shorten them about an inch or so. The larger tranny sits closer to the shifter because it is bigger. The obd 2 and obd one distributors have the same components, the only difference is the connectors. All you have to do is either re wire it or just remove the components from your stock one and re intall them in the new distributor body.
