timing won't be affected based on your mods... I hope you are running high octane.

how do you know it's your timing and not another problem?

I bet its a vacum or some other TB/manifold problem... The odds of the timing going out of whak without touching it are slim to none (unless of course your timing belt sliped a notch or two)...

how long ago did u install the msd? if it was just installed maybe you didnt plugg in a spark plug wire into the cap all the way or something, like one cyl not fireing or something... just a thought...

I just got the car, and the day I got it it came out of the shop. last bottom end spun a berring so a new one was put in. It was done at the dudes friends place, the dude took it fast and the guy realzied he didnt tighten the distributor down, nor the alternator bracket.....it went from not notciable to the car stalling/rocking on acelleration like crazy.

HOLLY SHIZ !! ok its timming FOR SURE, just went to go look under the hood, you could basically BLOW on the distributor to make it move, all bolts there off like half way, just sitting in there. I just need to know how to fix this...I have a light.

use the force

j/k using the timing light align the marks to stock timing specs... there should be two marks on the balancer, white and pink (colors may vary) one is TDC for #1 cyl, and the other is your timing mark. So using the timing light, set it so the timing mark aligns with the mark on the block when the strobe fires.... it's that easy!!

it may sound tough, but it's easier than an oil change IMO.... I live about 4 hours away.
