B16A Gas mileage

Just want to ask all first gen B16 people:
How is the gas mileage for your B16A?

I have a B16A with a good condition gas tank. I go into vtec at least once a day (I can't help it ) and with a full tank of 94 octane from sunoco, I calculated approximately 450-460kms with a full tank.

Is that way off? Or should I ease off the vtec?

i get about the same... i prob drive the same as you... at first i was driving slow cuz i had to break in my clutch and i was getting way over 500km per tank.. but on average now its between 400-500... thats not bad at all considering they are ten gallon tanks .. and ye.. vtec is fun
94 octane is a bitch thuogh.. i needed gas badly today... and i had to pay 95cents a litre

I almost got 600km from my SiR. I didn't take it all into the vtec range. Plus I shifted gears mostly around 4000rpm area max.

that's some ****ty mileage. I think I'm gonna get a b20z for my EK in the spring. Sam says he can get 550-650 depending on how he drives and it still boots!

But is that with a 10 gallon EF tank?

*wheW* i guess im kinda glad that my fuel system is pretty normal. but im still going to go ahead and use some fuel injector cleaner thing... i havent used it ever since i had the motor, which was about 6 months ago. good idea? how often do you guys use fuel injector cleaners? and if you do use them, which brand is best?

normal civic ..........b16 average is 400-450 for good milage on street. 500-525 on highway.

650 that guy has to be running lean fuel or he got some super computer that turns up the fuel when he hits it and burns nothing at normal cruise,

b20 not b16...no ripping in/out of vtec to make the motor go crazy.

My h22 gas mileage with hitting vtec 2-3 times a day =

OVER 500km / 40 L tank. Highway and City driving..

Almost always I fill up around 485-495KM with 4+ Litres left to spare.

JDM b16A and I get around 400-450km per tank ... 70% Highway 30% City. I shift around the 3500-4k range. PPL who are getting higher km's where do you guys shift? I think I could get better mileage if I just layed off the heavy foot

if your b16 has some REAL mods, there is no way in hell that the 10 gallon ef tank can store enough fuel for me to hit 420km's. its damn near impossible. i have 11.3x/1 c.r, headwork, ctr cams and ****, and the car struggles to make good gas milage. the only thing is, if i cared about gas milage i would have never modded my car. even ay $0.94/litre, it still doen't matter. everybody should know by now that if you want to make power, the last thing on your mind is fuel economy.
