Question B16 ques

I have a B16 in my 90 CRX and I noticed a couple of different things from other B16 swaps. No one that I've talked to, as of yet, seems to know.................
The stamp on engine has B16A whereas others that I have seen have B16A1. The other thing is that the tranny was marked as a J1 and no one that I have talked has even heard of such a thing.
I've heard of S1 and Y1 but I am stumped as to what the hell a J1 is.
Any help here?

well find out how fast your car is going in first at say 4000 and compare it to what other b16 owners are going at the same and you'll know...

Thanks guys, I can tell you right now, without going out in the rain to give it a go, that I am over 80kph before I have to take it out of 2nd gear. Of course I didn't check this site too extensively before asking something that I could have found if, only I had the foresight. LOL thanks again. I'll have to look more into it when I take it apart this winter.

Well, I tried to pay attention to what it's doing.
@ 4000rpm 1st - 28kph
2nd - 45kph,
3rd - 68kph,
4th - 88kph,
and 5th - 105kph.
I'm still learning about all this suff soooooo, what do you think? Close ratio gearing?
