Hi guys, I've searched and found most of the info that point me to beleive my B16 is a 2nd gen. I also want to know how this thing is wired. Its in a 90 integra and running a pr3 ECU with 2 o2 sensors. This means its OBD0 correct? NOW, in the procces, just because I was interested in what motor I have, I'm trying to figure out which version it is. Its got the smoother intake runners without PGMFI.. and a square fuel rail, and the VTEC lettering is larger than the DOHC, and the stampings on the block is the 5...... series. Im guessing its a 2nd gen wired to work with OBDO. Any thoughts? I'd like to know for sure, but there are a ton of grey areas. Any help would be great. Ryan

I have no clues about ecu's, so the way I would tell is by looking at the code stamped on the block and the date between the exhaust manifold. There is a sticky on this site regarding engine stamps/specs and what year they are. They also list whether its obd 0,1,2a,2b
also it might have a clip down in it from obd1 to obd0 if you believe its 2nd gen wired to obd0.
hope this helps but try to research by reading some of the sticky's, they do come in helpful sometimes.

sounds like a 2nd gen to me.

But swapping the intake manifold and fuel rail is easy enough to do.
Do what James said and check the date code on the front of the head.

What does the block stamp say?
If it says B16A1 then its a 1st gen.
If it says pretty much anything else (B16A, B16A2, B16A3) its a second gen.

Thanks guys, the stamp on the block says B16A. All signs point to it being a second gen, which sound good to me....That was the cheapest 10 hp ive ever picked up/
