attn kyb installs with Tommy or r1 coilovers
OKay here the deal to save you folks some heades like i got i am going to give a couple of pointers. First of all get rid of all those black allen key screws DO NOT install these to hold the sleeve of the coilover to the shock. Basically when the car is lowered down if those are tightened down the dust sleeve you you from your stock shock will stop the car from coming any lower and you will have instead of a drop a jakced up car. So if you are using the sleeve on the front it has to be loose around the shock. Second I wanted top go down a bit lower than what the front shock allows you to go. You will see when you get to it the sleeve will NOT sit down on the bottom of the ring that normally holds your stock spring because the size of the sleeve is smaller than the width of the base you car can only be lowered so much because even thought you can adjust the height you are limited because that sleeve sits about an 1-1/2 " above where the stock spring normally resides. This was only on my 4 gen ciovic not sure how the other ones are, the rear i will be doing today. With the r1 spring alone sitting on the shock the top of the tire is even with the fender no gap, THIS LOOKS LOVELY Any question pm me i'll try to get back to you as soon as i can since i will be busy on the back side today. Install for the front with these precautions should take you an estimated 2 hours for the front alone rear is another 2 hours
