adv cam?

adv cam?

k, i have a B16a1 (jdm) i was changing my head gasket and i heard that if you advance your intake cam by 1 tooth it will be better?
help plzzzzz

my advice.. without a dynomometer don't even consider it, without cam gears don't even consider it.
why? well firstly you greatly increase the chances of a valve smacking a piston, therefore forcing you to rebuild your head with new valves. secondly cam adjustments only move your powerband around... sure you may make more peak HP by 1 or 2 but you will suffer in the Lower RPM range. causeing your already torqueless b16 to lose even more torque.... or vice versa, it will feel stronger down low but you can kill your upper range HP...
