A friend of mine has a 2000 EL and he just purchased a ractive short-ram intake, but it's for a 96-97 Si.

There's only 2 wholes in the intake tube, but on his car there are 3 connectors to his stock intake. so there's an extra connector left over
Does the tube for an Si fit an EL? Aren't they the same engine?

isn't that the second O2 sensor or something??
i remember reading something about that, but for the life of me can't remember where..

i do know that AEM shows different model #'s for the acura vs. civic..

The intake you need is one for a 96-00 Civic Ex if you are getting it from an American company. The Canadian model Si (which is called the EX in the U.S.) shares the same D16Y8 motor.

I have a SIR intake on my Si, and it works fine only thing is you need a breather!...but no biggy! I find that my intake is louder then the Si intake! But maybe that is just me??..

You do realize you can get a rather large emissions ticket for having a breather. Just a word of warning.

No one really answered my question... about the 3rd connector to the intake? second o2 sensor?

Hey Thomas, one's for the intake sensor the second is for the crankcase breather and the third has gotta be for an extra breather b/c there is only one sensor.

You could always do what I did and put a silcone hose on the two holes and a breather on the valve cover.
