keep pumping dude.
Would someone who owns a SIR please chime in.
My civic holds like 40L, so i doubt a higher performance model would have a gas tank half the size of pretty much every other model civic.

I used to own a 2000 SiR. It's a 45L tank trust me.

20L = 160km
40L= 320Km

Still a bit low even for the winter time. I would love to see the legit e-test results from your SiR.

Have you replaced your air filter, and pcv valve? When was the last time the oil was changed?

PCV valve is the positive crankcase ventiliation valve, which lets the air/oil vapours from inside the crankcase get recycled into the intake manifold and get burned in the engine.
On your car its located on the intake manifold near the fuel rail (between the #3 and #4 runner). It has a vacuum hose attached to it that goes to the intake manifold.

just take a little 5L gas can filled with gas with you, so that if you run out while not near a gas station you won't be stranded.

why not?
Just keep like 3L in there if you're worried about it spilling.
Either that or take the car to a shop and let a mechanic look at it.

What I meant was

ON 20L you can only get 160km range. Now on 40L of fuel you should be able to get 320Km. IMO 320KM range on 40L of fuel seems a bit low even in the winter time. Unless you leave the vehicle idling alot, or love being in VTEC RANGE.

BTW: I would try swapping back in a stock intake system just to see where you sit fuel range wize.

Also do that 3L of gas thing just to see if the gauge is messed.

Oh,,, one more thing

Which grade of fuel are you using? 91 correct?

I know when I ran 87 (by mistake) once my SiR ran like ***. No pep, and I only got about 400 or 450km to the tank.

20 Liters? Either your tank is seriously dented to **** or you aren't doing something right. 45Liter tanks from factory. They usually get shrunk down (from you filling it up, driving it until she's bone dry without venting it, that sucking noise isn't a nice one) over time to about 43L...but you never let it run till she runs out for 40L is the norm on empty fill ups.

Get your car inspected...then do a tune up...

I own an 00' SiR.

Not sure exactly how big the tank is...(just google it...lol)

It's at least 40-45L. I know this because i've filled up and put in around that amount.

My guess is your fuel gauge is not working properly.

Like everyone else said....run the ***** right out a gas and take a can of gas with you so you can get to a station. This way you'll find out exactly whats going on.

Also, when the pump stops when I'm filling up I can usually fit in another $5 of gas or so. (bout another 5 liters roughly).

Good luck dude!
