EF 3-anchor strut tower brace

Hey, so I'm having Chris at Diamond Auto Fab make me a 3-anchor strut tower brace for my CRX. If anyone is interested in one, PM me and I'll get him to fab up more than just the one for my car. I'll post pricing shortly. Will look something like this.

Plates are made, tubes are going on soon. Price is 175.

Chris is a master welder and really knows how to make strong parts and clean welds. There is no movement in the bar compared to some other aftermarket strut tower braces I've tried. If you grab it in the center and can shake it, chances are it's just for show and isn't doing anything. Anchoring it to the firewall triangulates the forces and will help keep your engine from entering your cabin in a front end collission.

Picking the car up on Thursday and will post pix of the final piece.

So I picked up the car on Thursday and have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the strength and build of this piece. It's solid. It mounts to the firewall with simple 10mm bolts in the factory mounting location. There's no drilling required. All EFs should have them. I even stood on it to see if I could get it to bend and nothing! No flex, even with all 220 glorious pounds of my manhood, this bar stayed straight. Then I jacked the car up from one corner to see how much flex was in the chassis. Was minimal. A few yanks on the jack and both tires came off the ground. Took pics below. I have a half cage from behind the driver's seat back, so results on your car may vary a little, but needless to say, it will strengthen your front end. Pix below. PM me if you have any questions.

If he has a jig made for your car, price is 175. It's 225 if you want it made from polished Stainless Steel. And 150 if he has to make a jig to fab one for your car. Contact Chris directly to pick one up. diamondautofab@hotmail.com or 416 561 4566
