JDM B16A MOTOR - $650 FIRM
Testing waters with this motor. It is still in the car, so you can come hear it, compression test it, leakdown test it, whatever. I have nothing to hide. The motor is in excellent condition and pulls hard. I put a lot of time and a fair amount of money into the motor before it was installed. Before the swap a few months ago, I meticulously cleaned the motor, sanded it down and painted it with 4 coats of hi-temp paint. Motor DOES NOT SMOKE and DOES NOT BURN OIL.





I bought this motor off a guy who was selling his car due to it being a write off. The car was hit on the side. I bought the car for the motor as I wanted to do a swap in my own car. I inspected the motor thoroughly and compression tested it as well. It yielded 196 psi across each cylinder after 5 cranks (which means it builds compression quickly and is therefore very healthy). Dry test, no oil added.
Before the swap, the motor received the following brand new parts:
- distributor
- timing belt
- water pump
- oil pan gasket
- valve cover gasket
- valve cover grommets
- NGK spark plugs
- NGK wires
- crank seal
- distributor o-ring seal
- exhaust manifold gasket
- intake manifold gasket
- thermostat
- pcv valve
- magnetic drain plug
- rad hoses
I also removed the oil pick up and cleaned it out. During this, I snapped some pictures of the inside of the block for anyone that wants to see. It looks like the block has been refreshed at some point with new bearings. Comes with GSR header and short ram intake.
Motor DOES NOT SMOKE and DOES NOT BURN OIL. I am the 3rd owner of this motor, and the first two can vouch for this and I will gladly put any serious buyers into contact with them. It will come as a motor only (includes dizzy, alternator, power steering pump), but we can work out a price for everything (axles, harness, mounts, clutch, ECU, shift linkage, etc.). Motor has only seen Castrol Syntec and Redline synthetic oil with K&N Gold oil filters. Oil change done like 1500km ago, so you wouldn't even need to change the oil filter as it's only got 1400km on it! lol
