2003 Camery:
All Camry grades offer a double overhead cam 2.4-liter four-cylinder VVT-i engine. It produces 157 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 162 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm

But buyers can also choose a 3.0-liter, 24-valve V6. All-new last year, the V6 develops 192 horsepower at 5300 rpm, and 209 pounds-feet at 4400 Both engines are all aluminum for light weight.

It really depends if the ZC is stock and the weight of the vechicle.

wrong sicsol numbers from a rescent car and driver magazine 0-60 mph is 8.2 for camary i'm sure that the zc can do better than that, my dx will run head to head with this camary and quater mile of 16.4 sec for the camary again. A camary weighs 3424lbs that's a heavy cow!! Read up on car mags to get the right answer, anybody can guess. A civic weighs about 2000 lbs bye bye camary

Thumbs down

question is speed racer what have you been smoking I mean where the hell did you get this from ?? a camary v6 beating a lexus yeah okay there chappy Here's what you can do, run down to your corner store and pick up an issue of car and driver. These guys test cars for a living they ran both cars in acceleration, now pay attention son!

Lexus is300 -curb weight 3392lbs , 3.0L dohc 24 vavle inline 6 pumping out 215bhp@5800rpm and 218lb-ft@3800rpm
acceleration 0-60 mph 7.6 sec and 1/4 mile 15.8@89mph

Toyota Camary -curb weight 3424lbs,3.0L V-6 dohc 24 valve pumping out 192bhp@5300rpm and 209lb-ft@4400rpm
acceleration 0-60mph 8.2 sec and 1/4 mile 16.4@86mph

no you tell me is car and driver have misprints in these magazines??? NO that's what happens when you find your information from "well i heard this"...etc gets the facts, know your math. There are a lot of better and worse dirver's out there compare the two cars with one professional driver, thank you. Power to weight ratio guessing that zc was in a 4th gen hatchback civic most commom, outline the guide lines set the facts, than ask the question.

listen here DUMBASS, this information was recieved from woodbine and 16th, the trafic lights............so, theres no "i heard this from so and so." and i think i know the specs of a lexus, and i know that its faster than a camry, my buddy has one.....AND I KNOW THAT IT IS FASTER THAN THE CAMRY, BUT I WAS DISAPOINTED WHEN IT LOST AND I WAS AMAZED, BECASUE BEFORE THE winter IT ALSO LOST TO A 325 AND THAT APPARENTLY HAS 180 OR SO HORSE......THATS WHY I WAS AMAZED THAT THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIS CAR.............
now are we on the same level.......and another concern that i have is i think my civic is getting a little slower on the pick up...i have a bad battery, does that have any relevance.....its really bad.........and i have to replace it asap...would that have an affect on pickup.....:

Exclamation

so your comparing three cars and you see my point on the lexus being faster a lot of conditions might of affected the loss in the lexus. First would be driver, next could of been wet he could of lost traction, etc. I gave you the stats on the lexus and camary from car and driver, not zc i know they have never tested a zc. But if you know your math skills you can tell that if the driver was good in the zc he would win. If you have an amateur than you can't expect much. So speeking logically if you had the camary and the zc on the 1/4 mile strip both pro dirver's i put my money on the zc cause he will win. As for your battery problem, it could be affecting the performance if you are getting a weaker spark to the motor, it could alos be cutting in and out hard to say. A new battery would be good, checkout energizer batteries at walmart their good and cheap and have a really good warranty. Also at priceclub they have delco's really good too. Honda factory battery is the best i believe but it's pretty pricey when compared with the aftermarket.

All is good speedracer we all have our times, my other posts were a bit harsh too, didn't mean to be offensive just sometimes it comes out that way. It's all fun and games don't worry about it. We'll have some fun for sure when we go down to a 1/4 mile track in the summer, nothing like so good old honda vs honda racing

There isn't much of a diffrence i mean they both hold the same charge and everything like that. I like the walmart battery you get like a 7 year warranty onthe thing or something like that had one on my old rabbit gti she cranked every time. You'll probably save a bit with the walmart one too The choice is up to you all battery will do the same job. What do you got under the hood may i ask so i can get ready for the 1/4 mile strip when it comes time.
