hey black86hatch punk and I were talking.. and wondering .. are the rotax karts weighted so that all the karts start with the same weight or do the lighter ppl still have the advantage?

minimum weight is 365 pounds.
the kart itself weighs 180 to 190ish. i'm at a buck 50 and i need something like 30 pounds of ballast to make the weight.

as long as when they weigh you after the race u'r at 365 u'r ok.

there isn't much to lighten. if you're looking to take off 40 pounds of weight, i can tell u right now that's impossible.

if u run EVERY rotational bit w/ magnesium components, u'll save no more than 5 pounds; and that's being a very generous estimate.

See that's exactly what you wanted... I guess it would make it more fair... maybe punk will be out for another season next year.. and then he can prove his true "driving skill"

I bet it would be a HUGE difference... I'd honestly just rather do one and not switch at all b/c if you like one a lot better it is a disapointment when your in the other kart...

slotted 15th for qualifying

qualified 5th for prefinal

started in 6th for the feature

won the feature.

stupid yellows. i had a 5 kart length lead and then had a barrage of yellows and only won by half a length.

DOH!

not running brencole anymore
not cuz of the lack of speed

i hate racing with idiots. ****. every ****ing group has problems.

at least in the club, even if i were dead last, i'd come out knowing we don't have 75% of hte laps run under full caution

**** this ****.

i hear ya there... today 3 of 5 laps of pre race was under full yellow... and probably 5 or 15 laps of the race under yellow.. maybe 6 actually...

today i did alright... qualified 15th.. then got up to 10th in the pre race, then up to 7th in the race... could have been higher in the race but damn yellows

I know what your saying.. I'm enjoyin it now but by the end of the season I'll be ready to step it up with ppl that have some drivers skill... here's how last nite went down..

I qualified in 5th spot... and after pre race I was 4th. The kart I had during the race has no brakes which was pretty hot... So during the race I couldn't catch up b/c the corners were rough (couldn't get a good line cause I had no brakes) ... so the last 2-3 laps someone was right on my ***...

So I wasn't being stupid... I wasn't gonna let him by but I was taking the corners making it hard for him to pass... What does he do... he keeps barreling into me... over and over again... like no drivers skill... he even had the inside on the 2nd turn and didn't take it.. instead he kept smashing into me... I was starting to get pissed..

anyways on the 14th lap he hits me and catches my wheel a bit and gets past me... and I couldn't catch up I finished 5th... not bad I suppose... but anyways we get out in the pits.. and he was coming to talk to me... and he had a smirk... I purposely avoided him cause if he had talked to me I woulda wiped the smirk off his face with my fist...

Just kinda pathetic.. he probably feels all good getting up there for fourth... but it's one thing to get beat by someone who's better who's got some skill... it's another to be rammed about 15 times till he hits my kart in such a way that I lost control temporarily....

*rant over*

the rain is no fun at all... when your pushing to get 1 minute lap times it definately isn't fun... that race last night was the first time i'd ever just wanted the race to end already
