some nice runs with the teggy...
Saturday nite, on my way to woodbine & 16th to meet up with some friends...going north bound on keel st. , I pass the 401 and notice a silver s2000 comming off the highway. I get caught at the red light right @ keel & wilson, pointing north bound on keel st. I'm in the right lane and the s2000 pulls up next to me in the left lane. At this point, my heart starts to beat faster and faster and I can already feel the adrenalin rushing through my veins!!
I had raced an s2000 before when I had the straight GSR swap and bolt ons and had lost by about three car lengths.
This was the first race with the frankenstien set-up....I had red lined before but never went at it with another car.
anyways...I start to instigate the race, revving some what and moving forward anticipating the green The s2000 seems to accept the challenge and is inching up as well
green light: we both take off and are pretty much side by side in first (my car breaks tracktion @ around 6500rpm all the way to red-line)...hit second gear and my rpm drops to 5500rpm, 500rpm shy of where it should be due to the loss of tracktion, but none the less my car takes off like a bat out of hell and I instantly gain about half a car....top of second and it's already like 1 and a half car lengths...shift to third and I keep gaining hard
I looked in my rear view and there was just no point in embarassing this guy any longer, so I shut it down and let the s2K catch up. All I got from the s2000 driver was a confused look. I guess he could tell I had something up my sleeve by the ear to ear grin on my face
fast forward to later that evening...I left woodbine and 16th heading north bound on woodbine to go home. There is a BMW in the distance ahead. I pay no attention and just cruise on towards major mackenzie. The BMW ahead gets into the left turn lane to get on major mac. west bound. red light again.
I pull up behind the bimmer only to notice the dual exhaust on this silver beast badged M3. I couldn't believe I had a brand spankin new M3 heading the same way I was going!! now, I can't pass up an oppertunity such as this! (the M3 was the hard top as well, so it's the lighter one).
the roads are completly empty. the area is pure bait but I figure, what the hell...how often am I gonna get a chance to run a new M3...plus I wanted to see how my car would do against such a worthy apponent
light turns green and we both start making the left turn. I keep it in first and pull up next...engine revving at about 4K rpm...and we're off!!
we raced all the way up to almost top of 4th gear with the M3 just slightly ahead. my front bumper was at his passenger side door the whole time! by the time we shut down my speedo was reeding 170km/h.
we hit another set of red lights. this time both of us side by side. my self in the right and the new M3 in the left. I guess he wasn't too happy about us being pretty much side by side the previous run and he was just ready to go wating for the green....
well, light turns green and the M3 doesn't even screech it's tires and just guns it...I'm still having major tracktion problems from a dead stop in first. well, he got like a car and a half lead right from the start and just held it off through another 1st to 4th run. his whole lead he got right at the start and he wasn't able to gain anything else on me
well, we reach major mac and bayview (pretty fast I might add ) and we both put down our windows and start talking...
firts thing he asks me is if my car is turbo...I'm like nope, supercharged? nope, nitrous? nope...I tell him it's all motor but I didn't get into any details. I gave him the thumbs up , he nodded and we went our seperate ways....
my car is still runing stock integra type R exhaust/muffler, still have my winter tires on, still runing stock GSR ECU and has absolutly no tuning....YET!!

What do you have in your teg? I just swapped a 5th gen Si into my 4th gen.I i'm thinking about swapping the B16 but I might just beef up this engine for Solo1 b/c it's cheaper to maintain and replace.

DAMN!! Nice kills!! If I was the M3 driver I would've been PISSED. Spending like 80G's on a car that cant pull on a teg!

Hey, give me a breakdown of what you got. The reason why I'm asking is cuz my brother is getting a fully built all motor B20 Vtec, which is in the building process right now and it's going into his 2nd gen Teg. Just curious what his car will be capable of.
