Solo Info

Here's the link to the PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT SOLO2 series.. This is a good series for anyone who is new to the sport. Everyone is really relaxed and aren't to serious. I'll also post the link to the REGIONAL SOLO2 series, but be warned... the REGIONAL GUYS are HARD CORE. They don't screw around, lots of really faxt and expensive cars and some are even Trailer Queens, as they are fully race preped and are not street legal.

The week before an event I'll try to remember to post a threead to see who can attend, and we can all get together. Now saying this there is an event this Sunday at the Hersey Center. So if anyone wants to attend, please post.

PITL ones come with licks lunch, regional u provide your own food. A word for newbies is you must marshall. Don't make an *** out of yourself by not marshalling and causing excessive noise. That's frowned upon and that is why some people don't seem so friendly to newbies.

that means standing at a specified post, to pick up pylons that are down, signalling if a car is offcourse or hit a pylong from your designated location. Really easy but a vital role.

Twinlakes Motor Club in Barrie still has a few events left this year, next one is this Sunday, Aug 25 (see website in my signature) it's a great time, there's a couple of cool hybrid civics running too.

Here's an action pic of me from the May event.

Whats the point of building our cars if we're not going to drive them?

I unfortunately thought the solo was on Sunday

So I arrived late and had a blast watching.

Saw the Preludes in action, pretty disappointing, just a little too heavy for a front driver for it to perform well on a twisty corse.

Total respect goes out to the Miata, did you see the number of supercharged miatas, fast, smooth, corners like a dream.

Make mine Gunmetal!

I never seen Rob look so happy!
Like he said, "Whats the point of building these things unless your're going to drive them?"

Sam, What was your acutual registered time?
You were still at DNF when I left...

Still, even if you didn't get any, I was jealous, wish I was out there.

Give me an idea of how I want to set up my car?

Anyone have a really fat rear sway for sale?

Were any of you guys at the TLMC event in Barrie today? I saw quite a few Civics but I'm not sure if it's anyone from here.

Good event, 50 cars (we actually had to turn a couple of guys away) Not sure if anyone knows Pat Yorke or his Civic but he definetely stole the show today (like he always does) best time of 43 something while second place was 47 seconds. Just to put things in perspective 30th place was still under 50 seconds.

fastest official time of day was 58.xxx ( i cant member the exact # yet)... and i did one fun run in which i put down 57.7xx, so I can't complain... run 4 which was my first non-DNF was 59.227 so I was kinda happy... it's crazy what a couple seconds' diff is on the track!
