well now for the details....

we ran the track counter clockwise using the 11 turn course ... turn one was the entrance and so didn't affect this story .. (1st lap)

ok from turn one you have a nice long down hill straight away that is broken by a very very wide turn 2 and 3 (full speed through that turn) the straight after turn 2 has a hill that crests (turn 3) to hide a downhill straight to turn 4/5 chicane. well the straight, by the time you crest the hill I was doing 140Kph in 3rd the light was going off on my shift light... quick I jump on the brakes get the car slowed to 60 and heel toe it into 2nd bam bam off the curbing I go and I'm on the gas half way through that section 70Kph coming out... short straight to a hairpin turn (turn 5)I'm doing 110Kph entering the braking zone.. bam hard on the brakes heel toe it again into second 50 Kph to the apex and then hard on the gas for the exit 60 coming out short straight up hill to the complex turn 7/8 chicane ... this chicane in on a hill with the crest of the hill happening just after turn 7 (you can't see turn 8) well it's up into 3rd on the straight before that lift off the trottle and turn in once straigher after the 90 degree left hander turn 7 it's hard ont he brakes with a quick heel toe down to second. then it's hard on the gas through turn 8.. turn 9 is just hard on the gas an upshift to third happens right after this corner (sometimes before if the exit from turn 8 is done right) short striaght to the double apexright hander turn 10.. simple turn just brake enter and then on the gas again no need for a downshift ... short straight tothe uphill 90 degree left hander with a nice concrete wall to meet if you don't make it.... this one requires a quick brake heel toe downshift to second then back on the gas .... down the front straight and intot he 90 degree left hander 1st turn slight braking but being in second no down shift needed.....back ont he gas for the long staight to the chicane....

things I discovered lappiing....

1) bring brake fluid you WILL be bleeding your brakes.......

2) have newer brakes on car year old brakes just meant I was burrowing spare brake pads ... EKKK

3) rotors should not glow

4) it is very hard to keep oneself planted in a stock seat while working a video camera esspecially during an off road excursion

5) simple double apexs are so simple ... I spun the car 270 degrees.....opps

6) I learned how to change brake pads and bleed brakes..

7) the cool down part is very very very very very important!!!!

8) the perma smile begotten from the first time on the track is unremovable

9) this is the best day of my life .... I will never forget it!!!

10) the dudes going to DKNs looked very very tired when I stopped by in the mroning to wish them well...

one other thing I learned .... downshifting to second while doing 120KM/h results in 8000 RPM ...which for my cars 6800 red line is considered over revving just slightly.... and I did it a FEW TIMES
