dyno run? would be the best place to get accurate #'s
considering mods ...intake and exhaust ...vs boost ...boost wins

Get it dyno tuned, I am sure you can yield good number and time. A fast car is a fast car, I can respect that.

edit: Street racing is also bad so dont do it. And if it makes you feel better..if you're actually running 14.2 you will win

Your buddy should do a complete comparison with you. 1/4 mile time (you probably win). Top speed test, lude should win hands down. Your Sunfire is governed at the factory at 170 km/h (you may be able to reprogram that), but his Prelude will do 230 km/h no problem. Then the road course...goes to the Prelude again. There is nothing you can do to that Sunfire to make it comparable here. Prelude suspension and handling make it a sheer joy to drive.
I guess it all depends on what it is you are looking for in a car, I spent the $$$ for the creature comforts offered in the lude, and its handling capabilities.
Also in your comparison you are comparing apples to oranges.
Sunfire GT stock, should run high 16's at best. The stock Prelude would beat you there too.
Now resale value...Value for your 99 today, up to $7,000. Value for his Prelude 2 years older $11,000.
Again all about preference...BTW Welcome to TCC, and no more street racing videos please. We are very anti-streetracing here

Anybody who owns a Prelude knows that it is not a good base for a drag vehicle, its a really heavy car. If I wanted to go fast in a straight line I'd buy a V8.
