Sure its all about the driver.
but as long as ure b16 is stock, my money is on the b20.
Again talking wont do us any good. track days is approching, we will see what happens.

my b16 isn't stock and i doubt that the b20 isn't either. Does anyone have times on a stock b16a in a 97 coupe, b20b in the same car, and b20bvtec in the same car too?
I have no clue, but here's my guesstimate:
B16 .........15 secs flat
B20B.........15.2 secs
B20Bvtec....14.9 secs
Again these are just guesses...not based on actual times...i have no clue about any times for these engines!!!!

put it like this...
a stock b20 will run a 15 flat in a 6gen hatch, possibly a high 14..
a stock b16 will run about the same times in a 6gen hatch.
b20vtec you're looking more towards low 14's, high 13's
but you say these motors are in coupes so...

OK...but from what i understand, B20Bvtecs (thats the same as CRVtec's if i'm not mistaken?) are conversions or "build-ups". Each application differs just as in the LS-vtec. LS-Vtec can be a very powerful engine if made properly, and has potential of making about 180 whp. But just as in the ls-vtec, the Crvtec can also create less than 180 whp.
Please correct if i'm wrong, this is what i think...and i'm sure if its 100% accurate.
And about the crvtec...isn't there a problem with the different redline on the head compared to the block? Wouldn't that be unreliable? Juss curious.

...and I'm sure Camille will do much better than a 13.5 this summer.

the day I raced you and ran the 13.8 it was cold out and my tires where just poop. If I hadn't stripped the interior I would have probably ran better times
anyways, new throtle body + new cams = a lot more power. add a set of m/t slicks and hello 12s ALL MOTOR
from my experience, I'd say that with similar mods the B20 should come out on top. this is with equal drivers of course.
but you never know, I've seen some B16A's making great power stock and vise versa. this argument is pointless. race and let us know what happened. K?

To make this fair you are only allowed to use 4th and 5th gear and are not allowed to shift higher than 4k RPM

Ok, so i think i'll just save u the hassle and hand my *** over to myself.
The engine setup alone costs more than my whole car!!!!
I think i should edge someone in my own class to race me....someone like....i dont know....(shrugs shoulders) ...HappyB16 perhaps???? B16 vs. B16? Sounds fair doesn't it?
