Sending A Block To The Machine Shop
Hey guys.
Here's the situation. I stripped by B20z block apart (for a fairly stock b20vtec build). When i took it apart and used the letters and numbers to figure out what colour code bearing i needed. I found that some of the bearings dont seem to be the right colour according to the colour code system. So my question would be.....im gonna take it to gord bush....can i just give it to him the way it is? Bare block...with the crank and rods/pistons seperately. And he should be able to come up with what bearings it will need?
Thanks for your help.

If you've numbered the pistons/rods so he knows which ones go where, then he should be able to. He'll use micrometers and calipers to measure the crank journals and the main bores and rod ends to determine the thickness of bearings he needs to use.
Gord is the man.

^Everybody swears by his work so thats why i want to take it to him. Ive got all the pistons/rods in bags and marked from what cylinder they came from. So ill just take the block and all the internals bagged and marked i guess.
