RPM/engine problem

hey everyone and anyone, i got a question, my car wont rev under 2000 RPMS and i was wondering how i fix this when i start it its always at 1800 or 2000 never goes lower accept when its cold, i have a D16Y7 if anyone can help thatd be great thankss..!!

check all vacuum lines. May have a leak somewhere.

hold up... sorry, does it stay about 1800 even if the car is warm? (after 5 min of driving)

it stays at 1800 - 2000 even after an hour of driving it never goes lower and if i send a pic can you help cuz theres 2 hoses on the intake and mani that have bolts in them idk why or where they go to or from

Yeah you have a vacuum leak most likely.

thats what ive been told but i cant find it i have 2 hoses that have bolts in them no idea were they go to or came from.. and i got another question im looking for a harness for a F22A but cant find one do you know any other harness that would work for it?

It doesnt have to be on your intake... It can be a few places.

how about lower your rpm from throttle body area or play with distributor

Any work performed on top will be discussed before hand (it may not be a vacuum leak) you may just need to re-learn your base idle.

aggreed... there should be a slotted head screw right above where your intake piping comes out of the throttle body... screw it in to lower idle

don't mess with the idle screw.

Even on a car that idles properly you wouldn't be able to get the idle up to 2000rpms by adjusting the idle screw, so thats not gunna be ur problem.

Chances are that you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

yah thats what i was told i cant find it tho. so i just drive it as is. till i can find it or get it fixed

Adjusting the idle screw is such a bad way of 'fixing' problems.
