O2 sensors is there a difference

Hey guys

Ok so my current set up is getting really crappy fuel economy and im trying to figure out why.

I get 400 Km to a tank about 10km for a dollar.

the setup is

D16A (D16Z6) motor, Eg cx tranny, and Eg cx exhaust manifold.
In a 94 Eg hatchback cx.

My question: Is there a difference between D16Z6 O2 sensors and D16B7 O2 sensors ? do the O2s correspond to the motor or two the exhaust manifold.

Also if you have any other speculations as to why I get such crap gas consumption besides aggresive driving Let me know.

Thanks

Jeff

I would check the following if:
1.If you have any exhaust leak before your O2, your O2 sensor might be getting a messed up reading from your exhaust gasses due to dilution.
2.Maybe all you need a tune-up.
3.If your car has a (MAF) sensor make sure it is clean.
4.Do you have any check engine light or codes.
5.Back to the O2 it may be what some people call your O2 being lazy and not reacting to anything your computer is sending out to the O2.
6.Be sure that your car is warmed up your car will run under in closed loop if it is cold.

hmm I doubt its a leak I torque the exhaust manifold to spec my self,
did a complete tune up filter, plugs and wire during the swap in august.
Umm MF-> ill do some research.
no Codes there were a few but I fixed the prob and they cleared

but back to the original question.. A d15B7 o2 sensor in a D15B7 exhaust manifold connected to a D16A motor should be fine?

also.. did you re-use your old mani. gasket or a new one? did you clean the surfaces?

you do not have a MAF sensor.

P28 ecu

yeah I used a new honda mani gasket and clean the area up pretty well.

Well I did some research and seems this motor is supposed to get 10.4km/L not really impressed as it has very little power (130 hp) and very bad efficiency.

kinda got stuck with the bad of both sides in my opinion.

Well obviously something isn't functioning to par if you are getting poor gas mileage. I would question the o2 sensor, since you used a used sensor. You could have an air leak somewhere.

Also a d16a is not a d16z6. I would be curious to see if the maps are identical or somewhat different(which would give you poor gas mileage). But that is zeemans field, so I'll wait for him to chime in... thats if he's not too busy in ohio. He's ****ing lucky.. his boss gave him a couple days off

Just to be more precise this the JDM D16A that came in some eg coupe and Dc Zxi. Im not completly sure but I do beleive this motor is identical to a D16Z6 in every dimension at least I hope it is cause im using D16Z6 plugs, wires, Timing belt, waterpump and so on...

What do D16Z6 owner get in terms of gas consumption?

Also I seem to be getting a lot of exhaust fume comming out of the tail pipe and its kinda loud even at idle. What does running rich mean and could this be a key identifier?
